I was originally assigned a project on collecting data and turning it into an infographic. I decided to research ethnicity demographics in Hawaii between the era of sugar cane plantations and present day. My identity is influenced greatly by my different ethnic families and I was curious how much of the population they represent between the 1800’s and present day Hawaii.
My first infographic was solely about the  ethnicity demographics of Hawaii. After a critique I decided to go in a different direction with what I had learned and focused it more on tourism. My final Infographic gave facts about each of the Hawaiian Islands and my own recommendations on what the main attractions are on each island.
This project needed accompanying posters to create a design system rather than a stand alone composition. I designed another poster on my home island of O’ahu and detailed popular destinations around the island and specific attractions that may appeal to tourists.
The last poster in the series was on another island that I felt that I could accurately research and give recommendations on.
